This year’s edition of the women’s Hundred got under way with an experiment by the tournament organisers: inverting the double-header. The men’s match was played first and the women were given the primetime broadcast spot in the evening.

It was a one-off — the men play second in the rest of the double-headers — but the ECB was interested to see what effect it would have on crowd numbers. Would those who watched the men’s match stay on for the women?
